Join a campaign team

Our campaign teams are where the strategy happens:

  • What are our demands?
  • What tactics will win those demands?

Current campaign teams include:

Join a neighborhood team

Getting together with people in your area to take action is an empowering and effective way to

The campaign teams develop the strategy and identify effective tactics.

The neighborhood teams choose which tactics they want to use and take action locally. The teams vary in what they enjoy doing, and they also build community through potlucks, film screenings and more.

Start your own neighborhood / affinity team

It’s easier than it sounds!

Any group of 3 or more people can start their own neighborhood / affinity team. This is how we build a broad and scalable movement.

Our campaign teams create the strategy, and identify what tactics are effective at winning campaigns. Neighborhood / affinity teams choose from these tactics and take action on them.

Neighborhood teams could be fairly large (e.g. Washington County, Gresham), or hyperlocal (Montavilla, Lents, Linnton) or even just a few square blocks. The model is totally scalable.

Affinity teams are groups with something in common, e.g. Lewis & Clark students, parents with young kids, high schoolers, residents of a specific retirement village, an ultimate frisbee team, etc. The team could even just be your group of friends!

Want to start a team? Read our New Team Resources here, and reach out to Chris (chris@350pdx.org) to get started.

Represent 350PDX in a coalition

We’re building a movement of movements, which means we work in coalition with many groups. See our coalitions page to see what coalitions we are in, and contact Chris (chris@350pdx.org) if you’re interested in attending coalition meetings and reporting back to our climate movement.
