Hi everyone,

Starting this Monday, Feb 20, join a week of action in solidarity with the Weelaunee Forest (Atlanta Forest) Defenders. The City of Atlanta has leased 381 acres of Weelaunee Forest, stolen Muscogee land, to the Atlanta Police Foundation for a police military facility — also known as “Cop City.” The surrounding area is primarily home to Black residents who overwhelmingly oppose Cop City, and who are already facing increased police hostility and surveillance as part of “Operation Shield.” It is important we stand with those on the frontlines of this fight, to support them as they protect the Weelaunee Forest and the surrounding Atlanta community. Learn more about the Cop City project here.

Stop Cop City Picnic at Colonel Summers Park — Mon (Feb 20)

Show up in solidarity with the Weelaunee Forest Defenders for a Stop Cop City picnic at Colonel Summers Park! Come by Mon, Feb 20, from 1:00-4:00pm. Bring food to share, bring your doggos, family & friends! There will be games, arts & crafts, and letter writing, as well as a raffle to raise funds for forest defenders who are currently facing charges in Atlanta.

Stop Cop City Vegan Chili Cookout — Sat (Feb 25)

Come to the Stop Cop City Vegan Chili Cookout on Saturday, Feb 25, at Laurelhurst Park (12-3pm). There will be live music, an open mic, and free zines. Bring food, friends, and your band/talent.
