Philippines brunch fundraiser this Saturday
In the wake of Typhoon Haiyan’s devastation, 350 PDX is hosting a BRUNCH FUNDRAISER as our community comes together around this climate calamity. Please join us this Saturday to aid in the ongoing relief efforts for our brothers and sisters in the Philippines:
Please join us this SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 16th, brunch will be served between 10:00am-2:00pm at St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church, 1704 NE 43rd (by NE Broadway, near Sandy Blvd), Portland 97213. We will also have a couple of special guest appearances.
If you haven’t already heard this powerful speech by Naderez Saño, the chief representative of the Philippines, yesterday at the UN climate meeting in Warsaw, it’s a must see (if you have only 5 minutes, watch minutes 22-27):Philippines plea to the world.
Please help us spread the word about this important fundraiser and consider bringing your friends and relations to the brunch.
If you can help us with collecting donated items for our accompanying fundraiser raffle, please contact Bonnie at 503-705-1943 or 350pdx@gmail.com.
We are asking $15 for adults for brunch, children are free, please open your hearts and bring your checkbooks, everything and anything helps. All proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres) for their work for the disaster victims. The reknowned medical service organization, Doctors Without Borders is the 1999 recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
We are grateful to Members of St. Michael and All Angels Church for generously giving us the use of their bright and beautiful dining hall for our event.
We hope to see you this Saturday!
