Since the Paris Agreement was signed in 2015, banks across the world have poured $1.9 trillion into expansion of the fossil fuel industry   We know this is leading us toward climate catastrophe and severely endangering future generations. Your institution is contributing to this mess, and I cannot continue to support you.

Until your organization ceases funding fossil fuel expansion, I will encourage everyone I know to close their accounts with you, as well.

People are not corporations, but people are responsible for the actions of corporations. With that in mind, I ask that you please forward this letter to your regional manager ― and that you ask what they are doing to align your business model with the Paris Agreement.
