Candidate statement:
The PCEF will be used to benefit the planet and people of portland through investment in green energy and infrastructure period. Police are nice;Police are necessary; Moda center is nice; well it is nice but neither are within the mandate of the PCEF
I propose we cover the moda center and parking structures with photovoltaics and wind turbines (in an aesthetically way) to show case to the world where our head is at.
i propose ordinances that allow and promote micro PUDs so neighbors can pool resources to leverage green energy, sustainability and resilience
I propose that all new buildings and homes be built with infrastructure to support green energy even if the green energy is not available or not affordable at the time of construction.
