350PDX seeks a development intern to support the work of the Development Committee. The Development Committee works to raise money for 350PDX through multiple revenue streams. The Development Intern will be overseen by the Development Coordinator and will occasionally support the work of the Executive Director.
350PDX is building a diverse grassroots movement to solve the climate crisis. In our short two-year history, we’ve grown to a core group of 250 activists working in 15 coordinated teams to build a statewide movement for climate action at local and state levels. We’re growing our collective power and have seen an incredible surge in momentum.
People are looking to plug into our organization and join the movement. And there is so much to do! But with growth comes financial demands; building our fundraising capacity and our organizing capacity must go hand-in-hand.
This is a position of 20 hrs per week. The position starts June 5th, 2017 and ends August 18th, 2017, with some flexibility.
The intern is expected to work at the 350PDX. Changes to this plan are to be agreed upon in advance between the Intern and the supervisor. The Intern is expected to attend a bi-weekly Development Committee Meeting (every other Friday at 9:30am) and a weekly group check-in.
