
City Club of Portland’s Environment Issue Forum will host a discussion exploring the results of the Third Oregon Climate Assessment Report.
Speakers:
Angus Duncan is Chair of the Oregon Global Warming Commission. Angus has served as President and CEO of theBonneville Environmental Foundation since its formation in 1998. The Foundation is a non-profit business venture that generates revenues from regional and national sales of renewable energy and carbon-offsetting Green Tags. Prior to BEF, Angus served on the Northwest Power Planning Council from 1989 to 1995. Angus previously worked on energy development in the private sector and as Director of Energy Policy for the US Department of Transportation. In 2004, Mr. Duncan chaired the Drafting Committee that wrote Oregon’s Climate Change Strategy for Governor Kulongoski. In 2006 he chaired the Governor’s Drafting Committee designing an Oregon load-based carbon emissions cap and trade mechanism.
Kathie Dello is the Associate Director of the Oregon Climate Change Research Institute and the Deputy Director of the Oregon Climate Service, which is the state climate office for Oregon. She works at the science/policy interface, and frequently visits and consults with local, state, and federal agencies around the region on a variety of climate and water issues. She received a Bachelors in Atmospheric Science and Masters in Geography from the University at Albany (SUNY). She has completed most of the requirements toward a PhD in Environmental Sciences at Oregon State University.
