Plant for the Planet Spring Academy is a free, day-long academy for all youth grades 4 through 12 and their families to make a difference in Climate Change & Recovery. The academy will take place on Saturday, June 9th from 8:45 am – 2:00 pm at Central Lutheran Church (1820 NE 21st Ave., Portland). At the academy, youth teach other youth to become Climate Justice Ambassadors and learn about the science of climate change and recovery, how climate change impacts people everywhere, how to plant trees and why it matters, and how to make effective presentations and influence laws and regulations that benefit the care of the planet.
