The fight against the Line 3
tar sands oil pipeline is heating up, and now is the perfect time to get involved
. Pipeline builder Enbridge is trying to force a toxic tar sands pipeline across Indigenous lands and the pristine lakes of northern Minnesota.
Line 3 is being challenged fiercely every step of the way by Indigenous nations, grassroots organizations, youth, and green groups. The pipeline violates Ojibwe treaty rights and could carry over 800,000 barrels of tar sands oil per day, with as much climate-wrecking pollution as 50 new coal power plants.
The good news: We can stop this pipeline, but we need your help. If you’d like to get involved in the fight to stop Line 3, please join us this Wed at 8pm ET / 5pm PT for a National Digital Rally / webinar, hosted by Stop the Money Pipeline alongside the Giniw Collective, Honor the Earth, Power Shift Network, 350, Oil Change, and many others:
What: National Digital Rally to #StopLine3
When: Wed, Dec 9, 8pm ET / 7pm CT / 6pm MT / 5pm PT
Minnesota-based leaders have already delayed the project for seven years, but they need support now to #StopLine3. Plus join us on Wednesday for a national mobilization digital rally to take action and support local leaders in the fight against Line 3!
