May Day Morning Action to Call Out the Portland Business Alliance at their Annual breakfast meeting.
Why? Portland Business Alliance (PBA) claims to represent 1900 Oregon businesses in its endorsement of the Pacific Connector Pipeline/Jordan Cove fracked gas project. PBA also opposed the fossil fuel facility ban and launched an aggressive campaign to weaken the Superfund Clean-up Plan. PBA is the most reliable opposition voice to environmental progress in Portland. Few member businesses are aware; many would be aghast. Let’s inform them . . . and the general public.
Bring signs and help hold our long banner! We’ll also hand out quarter sheets to the 1000+ attendees as they enter the parking garage. *Please wear business attire if possible.*
Feel free to show up around 6:30 a.m. to help set up. Their meeting starts at 7:30AM. After party at Citizen Baker – 1 block away.
Check out the Facebook event here.
*Home-made signs – effective in large, bold letters and few words. Better to use term “fracked gas” instead of white-washed terms “LNG” or “Liquefied Natural Gas”.
