Training: Making Organizing Spaces More Accessible
March 29, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
This is the second webinar in the PNWFCA’s Activist Training Series, which is taking a deep dive each month into important but unrecognized organizing skills, including facilitation, resolving conflict, making organizing spaces more accessible, and navigating burnout & building collective resilience.
Movements are people-powered, and need the strengths of folks of all different backgrounds & experiences to be successful! What are the barriers to meaningful participation in our organizing spaces & events, and how can we lift them?
Register here for ‘Making Organizing Spaces More Accessible’ on Wednesday March 29th 6-7:30pm PT.
During the training, we’ll learn about and discuss common barriers in organizing spaces & events that can make it difficult for many folks to participate–both those already in our movements and those we hope to engage—and what we can do to lift those barriers. We’ll also share stories of what access means & looks like, with the understanding that accessibility is different for different people & groups, and there are no one-size-fits-all solutions.
