You are invited to the NE 350PDX Neighborhood Team movie night at their March meeting at the Leaven Community Center, 5431 NE 20th Ave – corner of NE 20th and NE Killingsworth Ave.

On Wednesday March 27 at 7 pm  NE 350PDX’s monthly meeting will feature the recent hour-long National Geographic film From Paris to Pittsburgh. The first half of the film dramatizes what many 350.orgers know well using dramatic footage of the results of climate change with compelling interviews of individuals already feeling its effect and public officials struggling with the problem. (e.g. Miami’s watery streets during the king tide).

The second half tells motivating stories of some specific actions taken by an individual, a couple of communities and a non-profit.(e.g.the installation of solar cells in Puerto Rico post-Maria, solar jobs in L.A. and city commitments to meet Paris abatement targets).

The film lasts about an hour.  Afterwards we’ll snack on deserts and discuss what we’ve seen.
