Join Oregon Wild, 350 Clackamas County, and other partner groups on November 29 for an insightful discussion about the relationship between the climate and our forests.

At our forum, we’ll be hearing from experts about how healthy forests capture and store carbon, how industrial logging emits it, and how we can make our native ecosystems more resilient to the impacts of climate change. We’ll also discuss the recent study that found Oregon’s timber industry to be the largest source of carbon emissions in the state. We’ll conclude by highlighting a few ways you can take action on this important issue.

There will be a happy hour before the event with free beer/wine/snacks donated by local businesses, and several organizations from around the area will have tables set up. This event is part of a series of educational forums around the state about how our forests can help fight climate change. The “Forest Defense is Climate Defense” tour will also be making stops in Corvallis, Eugene, Portland, Newport, Medford, and other communities around Oregon.
