Charges against both filmmakers have been dropped/suspended.

They will be showing clips from the “The Reluctant Radical,” Deia Schlosberg will be in attendance and showing her work as well.

“The Reluctant Radical” is a documentary following climate activist Ken Ward. Ken spent 20 years as a professional organizer for environmental organizations. Beginning in 2000, Ken became a stay at home dad and read all the scientific articles on climate change. His research led him to become increasingly alarmed by both the scientific evidence of climate change, and the repercussions for civilization as we know it. His efforts to push for a crisis level response from environmental organizations have been ignored. Ken now finds himself on the edge of the environmental movement, a reluctant radical who embraces direct action civil disobedience as the most effective political tool. He breaks the law as a last resort, putting himself in the direct path of the fossil fuel industry to fulfill what he sees is his personal moral obligation for future generations.

This event is co-sponsored by 350PDX and KBOO.
