Join us for a hearing at the Public Utility Commission on new Community Solar Rules!
The Community Solar Program, now being designed by the Oregon Public Utility Commission (PUC) should allow all eligible households to join others to buy their share of a solar project, and get power generated by a free and renewable fuel — the sun. The Community Solar Program is designed for those of us who are PGE and PP&L customers who rent, or cannot put panels on our roof. And thanks to the Legislature it addresses just transition by requiring that 10% of the power is used by low-income households. But we fear the PUC rules will unnecessarily limit and stifle the potential of this program. The rules should create a program that maximizes the potential of solar power. We don’t have time to waste.
