Event Series: Action Night!

Action Night! Make Polluters Pay!

January 22 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

January Action Night will be a collaboration of the Oregon Make Polluters Pay (MPP) coalition: 350PDX, Breach Collective, Climate Reality Project Portland Chapter, Food & Water Watch, Mobilizing Climate Action Together, Oregon Environmental Council, Oregon Just Transition Alliance, Oregon League of Conservation Voters, Sacred Organizing Coalition, Sierra Club Oregon Chapter, Third Act Oregon.

We’re advocating for the Climate Resilience Superfund bill which would make Big Oil pay for climate damages they’ve caused in Oregon. More about MPP here.

Join the Oregon Make Polluters Pay coalition at the 350PDX workspace (3639 N Mississippi Ave, Portland) for food, community, and a chance to learn how to take action on this exciting campaign. This event is part of a national week of action, as advocates in many states are proposing legislation to “make polluters pay” and hold Big Oil accountable.

Speakers from the coalition will share about the Make Polluters Pay coalition’s bill, the Climate Resilience Superfund bill (2026 Oregon short legislative session), and how to take action. You will have an opportunity to reflect on how your own story intersects with the purpose of this bill. We’ve all experienced more frequent wildfires, intense storms, and heat waves, and many around the state have seen flooding, drought, and experienced health issues due to fossil fuel pollution causing climate change. Oregon tax payers should not have to pay for these damages caused by wealthy multinational corporations.

Similar bills have already passed in New York and Vermont. Now it’s Oregon’s turn!

When: January 22, 6:30–8:30pm

Where: 350PDX, 3639 N Mississippi Ave, Portland
