Come meander with the Forest Defense team!

Join us at 9:00am on Sunday, March 22nd for an easy 1 mile walk through the mature forest on Powell Butte.  We will admire the Douglas fir and native plants in this area which are very similar to our state forest land that is slated to be clear cut.

This is a mostly flat trail, suitable for kids or those less keen for a hike. Please be prepared for mud, and dress for the weather.

Meet at the Powell Butte Trailhead for the Dogwood and Huckleberry trail near SE Gladstone st. and SE 148th ave. Link to map. There’s is a small parking lot, street parking nearby and it’s about a 10 minute walk from the #9 bus line on SE Powell Blvd.
