Dirt Rich – Post Film Wine Reception & Fundraiser
Join us for a post-film wine & hors d’oeuvres reception and fundraiser! 350PDX is putting on a night to remember, with your chance to hobnob with the Dirt Rich film director Marcelina Cravat, and author of The Soil Will Save Us Kristin Ohlson.
Tickets are on a sliding scale from $25 – $100, and all tickets will get you a free glass of wine, provided by Winderlea Vineyard and Winery, a B Corp producing Pinot noir and Chardonnay right here in Oregon.
We’ll also have fancy after-movie snacks for you with a range of vegan and vegetarian hors d’oeuvres and a raffle with great to be announced prizes.
All proceeds will go to supporting the work of 350PDX in building a grassroots movement to address the causes of climate disruption through justice-based solutions – including fighting Jordan Cove and getting the Portland Clean Energy Initiative passed at the ballot in November.
Tickets to the film sold separately: Preceding the reception, 350PDX in partnership with the EcoFilm Festival is presenting Dirt Rich at the Hollywood Theatre – buy tickets separately for that here – followed by a short Q&A with the director. The 350PDX fundraising reception is being held after the film and across the street at The Magnolia.
Portland Clean Energy Initiative September Update

Why? Because this measure offers an opportunity to say YES amidst a sea of bad policies that we fight on a daily basis. YES to local climate action. YES to billionaire retail corporations paying their fair share toward a clean energy future. YES to job training in the renewable energy field. YES to green infrastructure such as cooling tree canopies, local sustainable food and innovative projects that reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. YES to solutions coming straight from our communities. YES to Measure 26-201!

Here is the SW Team of 350pdx at the Multnomah Days parade on Saturday August 18th. The puppet is always a huge success getting lots of cheers and high five’s from both children and adults. Thanks to Emily Polanshek for organizing our team and for Dell, Glenna, Lisa, Bob, Anissa, Darlene, Cathy,David, Mary Lou and Bernadette for their participation. Oregon Supreme Court Declines Review, Leaving in Place Oregon Court of Appeals Ruling in Favor of Portland’s Fossil Fuel Ordinance
July 31, 2018 (Portland, Ore.) — Today, a coalition of public interest groups celebrated news that opponents of Portland’s fossil fuel ordinance have failed in their efforts to overturn the City’s landmark law. In 2016, Portland’s City Council voted unanimously to prohibit new fossil fuel infrastructure such as oil and gas terminals. Last week, the Oregon Supreme Court declined to review a January 2018 ruling by the Oregon Court of Appeals that upheld the Constitutionality of Portland’s Fossil Fuel Terminal Zoning Amendments, dealing another blow to the legal challenges brought by the Portland Business Alliance and the oil industry.

Portland Clean Energy Fund supporters
(PORTLAND, OR) – The Portland City Auditor Elections Division sent news late today that the Portland Clean Energy Fund (PDX 04, the “Portland Clean Energy Community Benefits Initiative 2018”) received enough valid Portland voter signatures to qualify for the November 2018 ballot. A sampling of 55,509 submitted signatures revealed 39,755 valid signatures, over 5,000 more than the 34,156 signature threshold for the City of Portland. The announcement means that Portland voters will decide this Fall on funding clean energy projects including housing upgrades, living-wage jobs and job training, and green infrastructure.
