Dirt Rich – Post Film Wine Reception & Fundraiser

Join us for a post-film wine & hors d’oeuvres reception and fundraiser! 350PDX is putting on a night to remember, with your chance to hobnob with the Dirt Rich film director Marcelina Cravat, and author of The Soil Will Save Us Kristin Ohlson.

Tickets are on a sliding scale from $25 – $100, and all tickets will get you a free glass of wine, provided by Winderlea Vineyard and Winery, a B Corp producing Pinot noir and Chardonnay right here in Oregon.

We’ll also have fancy after-movie snacks for you with a range of vegan and vegetarian hors d’oeuvres and a raffle with great to be announced prizes.

All proceeds will go to supporting the work of 350PDX in building a grassroots movement to address the causes of climate disruption through justice-based solutions – including fighting Jordan Cove and getting the Portland Clean Energy Initiative passed at the ballot in November.

BUY TICKETS NOW

Tickets to the film sold separately: Preceding the reception, 350PDX in partnership with the EcoFilm Festival is presenting Dirt Rich at the Hollywood Theatre – buy tickets separately for that here – followed by a short Q&A with the director. The 350PDX fundraising reception is being held after the film and across the street at The Magnolia.

Portland Clean Energy Initiative September Update

“The Portland Clean Energy Initiative is the most important ballot measure in the country right now.” – Van Jones.

Don’t take it from us, take it from national green energy leader, activist, and author Van Jones, who spoke at an event in Portland last week in front of hundreds of people and couldn’t stop raving about our work on the Portland Clean Energy Initiative, Measure 26-201.

Why? Because this measure offers an opportunity to say YES amidst a sea of bad policies that we fight on a daily basis. YES to local climate action. YES to billionaire retail corporations paying their fair share toward a clean energy future. YES to job training in the renewable energy field. YES to green infrastructure such as cooling tree canopies, local sustainable food and innovative projects that reduce our greenhouse gas emissions. YES to solutions coming straight from our communities. YES to Measure 26-201!

Today is 49 days until Election Day, and 29 days until ballots begin to hit mailboxes. Here’s your weekly campaign update on how to get involved with this historic initiative.

Oregon Supreme Court Declines Review, Leaving in Place Oregon Court of Appeals Ruling in Favor of Portland’s Fossil Fuel Ordinance

July 31, 2018 (Portland, Ore.) — Today, a coalition of public interest groups celebrated news that opponents of Portland’s fossil fuel ordinance have failed in their efforts to overturn the City’s landmark law. In 2016, Portland’s City Council voted unanimously to prohibit new fossil fuel infrastructure such as oil and gas terminals. Last week, the Oregon Supreme Court declined to review a January 2018 ruling by the Oregon Court of Appeals that upheld the Constitutionality of Portland’s Fossil Fuel Terminal Zoning Amendments, dealing another blow to the legal challenges brought by the Portland Business Alliance and the oil industry.

Help Support us During our Summer Fundraising Appeal!

“On the day the Trump administration withdrew from the Paris climate agreement, the City of Portland and Multnomah County committed to a goal of meeting 100 percent of community energy needs with renewable power by 2050. … Wheeler and others noted, however, that the heavy lifting would come in implementing the plan.”    –The Oregonian, June 1, 2017

One year ago, you made that happen! We have no doubt that the strong push from our community helped our locally-elected officials do the right thing. Now 350PDX, with the community-of-color-led Portland Clean Energy Fund (PCEF) Coalition is working on the “heavy lifting”, and again, we need your support!
