NEIGHBORHOOD TEAMS GIVE COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS A CHANCE TO BUILD CONNECTIONS AND PLAN ACTIONS CLOSE TO HOME.

The 350PDX Southwest Team includes neighborhoods on the south and west sides of Portland, from PSU to Hillsdale, Multnomah Village, Bethany, Beaverton and Lake Oswego. Our team focus is on direct actions to raise awareness of the threat of climate change. From street corner sign waving to offering community presentations and discussions, we build community and develop opportunities for our neighbors to get active in the climate movement.

Here are some ways to get involved:

I. Participate in our monthly online planning meetings

2. Sign up to distribute yard signs promoting Climate Action Now! at community events

3. Join our weekly street corner demonstrations

YARD SIGN CAMPAIGN

Our new yard sign campaign was launched this summer. Team members will be canvassing highly traveled areas and attending community events to distribute signs to residents who support Climate Action Now! Do you have a highly visible location for a yard sign? Contact Pat at patk5@msn.com and learn how to get one placed.

SAVE OUR PLANET SERIES

Our “How to Save our Planet” presentations are now available to groups and community organizations. Four one hour programs include video segments and discussions focused on changes that can slow and eventually stop human induced global warming. JOIN OUR TEAM

Our SW Team draws people from a wide area of the SW Portland Metro Area. We welcome members with diverse backgrounds and various levels of engagement. We meet monthly on Zoom to plan for in-person actions, presentations and discussions in our communities. If you have been looking for a way to contribute to efforts to stop global warming, we hope you consider joining the team!
