• Creative Team

Our Creative Team uses art and storytelling to make the climate justice movement irresistible.

This team does the whole creative process, from developing the story (or the narrative strategy) of our campaigns, to figuring out the most strategic way to get the story out to the right audiences, to producing all the banners, videos, songs, performances, creative direct actions, social media campaigns, press releases, webpages, animations, poems, and whatever else that will get our message out there.

There are three ways to get involved:

  1. Join the Story Team
  2. Join the Art Team
  3. Get on the Creative Roster

And yes you can choose more than one option!

Story Team

The Story Subteam helps figure out a campaign’s narrative strategy. We use a “story-based strategy” method to help campaign teams take apart dominant narratives and craft new stories. We investigate the myths we believe, build and participate in, and pause to bring deeper intentionality to campaign words, imagery and assumptions.

If you want to get deeply involved on an ongoing basis driving the communications strategy of our campaigns, then join the Story Subteam!

The Story folks don’t meet regularly, but when a campaign team calls on their skills, they get together for a brainstorm and work sessions.

Art Team

The Art Subteam works hand-in-hand with the Story folks and campaign teams to produce gorgeous creative products that surprise and delight, while bringing the campaign’s story to life.

If you want to be part of a consistent team that plans and runs art builds, creatively brainstorms what kind of art would work for a certain story or situation, and organizes folks on the roster, then join the Art Subteam!

The Art folks meet monthly at 7pm on the 4th Monday of the month via Zoom – see details on the calendar.

Creative Roster

The roster is our list of folks with creative skills that we can call on when we have a one-off need. Next time we need a songwriter or a photographer we’ll look through the roster and reach out to a few people who have those skills to see if they are free to help!

If you just want to help out when you can every so often, then join the roster.
