Twenty years from now, Pacific Power plans to still generate over 60% of their energy from fossil fuels like coal and fracked gas. And they have yet to set a goal for when they will move to 100% clean energy.
That's right -- your local utility is behind the times and they plan to stay that way for many more decades. Oregon deserves better! That’s why people across Oregon are demanding that Pacific Power makes a faster transition off of fossil fuels to clean energy. Add your voice today!
Pacific Power won't even admit exactly how much their expensive, dangerous coal plants cost to operate. But you deserve to know how much of your money is being spent to prop up dirty, out-of-state coal plants. Pacific Power needs to open up their books, and make a plan to transition these expensive coal plants to affordable clean energy.
Support the Oregon Public Utility Commission in requiring Pacific Power tell the truth about their coal plants today.

Please tell Pacific Power (aka PacifiCorp) that their customers are tired of having electricity generated mostly from coal. We want clean, renewable energy like solar and wind, and at the same time we need a rapid transition off of fossil fuels. It is unacceptable that Pacific Power’s plans for the next twenty years include 60% of the electricity still being generated from coal and fracked gas. Because of the climate change implications, this affects all Oregonians, not just Pacific Power customers. We believe a careful look at the economics of these coal plants would lead to a swifter transition to clean energy. Please require Pacific Power to immediately perform an economic analysis of their coal plants.
