Happy Earth Month! This April, we’re working to get climate justice bills passed in the Spring Oregon Legislative Session, continuing the resist Zenith Energy and GTN XPress, keeping up the fight for shade equity in Portland, and more.
Can you support our climate justice work by becoming a sustaining donor? Our goal is for 100 new people to become monthly donors during Earth Month. Whether you can give $5, $15, or $50 monthly, your contribution is a huge help.
We are largely funded by grassroots donations from people like you, so sustaining donors are a critical backbone in our funding stream. When you give a monthly contribution, you are giving us the gift of long-term financial security (when we are more secure today, we can make bolder decisions to grow our work in the months and years ahead!)
Thank you for your support, and for being in the fight!

Tell your Legislators to Support Climate Justice in the 2023 Legislative Session
Right now, we have an opportunity to win important changes across all of Oregon in the 2023 Legislative Session. 350PDX has a list of bills we’re urging our Senators and Representatives to champion during the session. If passed, these bills would have sweeping, tangible benefits for our communities and our climate. Join us in calling on our legislators to champion these bills!
Tell Governor Kotek: Oppose the GTN XPress!
Together with organizations across the Northwest, we’ve been tirelessly fighting to stop the proposed GTN XPress fracked gas pipeline expansion. Federal regulators are planning on making a decision on the project as soon as next week, on Thursday, April 20th. Washington Governor Inslee and Oregon Senators’ Wyden and Merkley have joined the growing list of public opposition to GTN XPress.
But what about Oregon Governor Kotek? It’s time for our Governor to stand up against GTN XPress! Send Kotek’s office a message now.

Transit Street Theater to stop fare increases!
Mon, April 17, 4:30pm @ the Hollywood Transit Center (NE south side of Halsey and NE 42)
Late last year, Trimet Directors backed a proposal to raise fares without giving the public any chance to respond. We need to make our voices loud and clear: we will NOT accept this decision to increase fairs without public input.
Join OPAL, 350PDX, Bus Riders Unite!, Sunrise PDX, and XRPDX on April 17 in launching 10 days of street theater leading up to April 26, when there will be an official vote on the fare increase. We will practice and then go out on transit to spread the word about the fare increase. We will be encouraging teams of two or three to do street theater at high volume transit stops during the days leading up to the hearing. Here are some sample scripts you can practice or improv from, or you could write your own (there will be silent roles as well).
