We need to be careful about social distancing AND we need to keep moving strongly in our collective action!
From April 22 to 24, youth activists and adults are coming together for Earth Day Live, a three-day livestream event focused on climate action. Earth Day Live will mobilize people nationally and globally to act collectively to protect climate and communities. The livestream will include training sessions, performances, and creative actions to keep people engaged, informed, and inspired. Speakers will include celebrities, politicians, scientists, and youth activists.

There are also a few Portland-focused Earth Day events:
April 22 PDX Earth Day Virtual Rally: Youth organizers across Portland including OPAL Environmental Justice, 350PDX, SunrisePDX, and APANO have planned a livestream rally highlighting the YouthPass campaign, with speakers, panelists, and performances plus non-virtual actions people can take.
April 23 Divest Day PDX: Digital Chase Takeover: Rate + Review Chase Bank’s Climate Destruction! Every Chase branch in Portland will be taken over by leaving educational reviews en masse for every branch. Google Maps, Yelp, and many other review sites also let you post photos with your review, so people can take selfies with art made at home to go with their review. Our ST$P-PDX coalition (350PDX, Greenpeace, Sunrise, XR, Raging Grannies, Stop Fracked Gas, PYCC, Columbia River Keepers, etc.) will support people with a toolkit and everything needed to publicize!
