This autumn, City Councilors in District 3 and 4 (the westside and southeast Portland) are up for election, which could have a massive impact on the effectiveness of climate justice policies in City Hall for the next few years. We’ll be centering climate justice throughout this entire process, so check this page for updates on:
- Candidate Meet & Greet, May 2026 Action Night. See video and photos here!
- Climate Justice Platform: All candidates running for the 6 seats in Districts 3 and 4 will be invited to endorse our platform, which outlines the key policy priorities Portland must pursue to meet its climate goals. Candidates are invited to endorse the platform.
- Climate Justice Voter Guide and Scorecard: Candidates will share their climate related priorities and we will rate incumbent candidates based on their voting records.
- Candidate Forums: In early October we’ll host candidate forums in Districts 3 and 4.
- Tours: We’re leading and coordinating several tours for candidates (and community members) to learn about some of the biggest climate and environmental justice issues in Portland. See a list of public tours below!

Love Trees! 5th Annual Pedalpalooza Shade Equity Lents to Laurelhurst Ride

Description: 350PDX’s 5th annual shade equity bike ride focusing on bringing joy, curiosity, and thoughtful attention to our urban tree canopy. This year we will tour recent PCEF Equitable Tree Canopy investments in historically under-invested areas. The canopy divide has roots in poor planning, historical racism, and policies that require private individuals to pay for the upkeep of public property.

Critical Energy Infrastructure Hub: Walking Tour

Description: Learn about the Critical Energy (CEI) Infrastructure Hub through a walking tour. This event will take us over the St. John’s Bridge to view the CEI Hub from above, provide the opportunity to learn more about the implications of policies about the CEI Hub, and take a walk in the park.
Energy Friendly Homes Tours
350PDX is co-hosting with Community Energy Project

82nd Avenue PCEF Projects Tour to Jade Night Market

Location: starting near Bird Alliance of Oregon, ending at Jade Market, bring your bike or grab a Biketown one
Description: 82nd Avenue is home to many PCEF funded projects. Community members and candidates will ride bikes and visit multiple project sites. The bike tour will end at the Jade International Night Market, where there will be food, speakers, and booths sharing about PCEF projects from community groups and the City’s Strategic Programs.
